Job summary

RBC is seeking a Financial Advisor in Montréal to attract, nurture and grow relationships with high-value personal and small business clients. You will provide proactive, professional advice across everyday banking, investments and credit, working with RBC partners to help clients achieve goals and life events.

You will travel between RBC locations as a condition of employment, delivering client-centric advice, expanding your network, and collaborating with planning and banking experts to tailor

Qualifications

• Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
• Quebec – Completed Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (i.e., Fundamentals of Personal Finance – Quebec, Investment and Taxation Fundamentals – Quebec, Insurance and Retirement – Quebec).
• 1-2 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.).
• Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate empathy and understand circumstances, motivators and concerns in all interactions with clients.
• Communicate effectively to uncover client needs and deliver client-centric advice.
• Utilize RBC partners to meet clients' full suite of financial needs (personal and business).
• Provide professional advice addressing complex credit and investments appropriately.
• Champion digital enablement and encourage client self-service while guiding through preferred channels.
• Leverage technology to connect with clients both virtually and in person.
• Implement strategies to accelerate new client acquisition and retention locally.
• Collaborate with financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking experts.
