Job summary

A global risk management company is seeking Personal Support Workers / Developmental Service Workers for temporary positions in Southwestern Ontario. The role requires providing exceptional personal care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. Successful candidates must be Canadian residents, able to work 12-hour shifts, and possess relevant qualifications. Compensation includes $27.50 per hour and meal allowances.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience using mechanical lifts and transfer preferred.
• Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Able and willing to work 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Work with Individual Support Plans and Positive Behavioural Support Plans.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation daily.
• Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Skills

Strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Proven skills to appropriately manage crisis situations

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

Education

PSW or DSW certificate/diploma preferred

Valid First Aid/CPR certificate or willing to obtain

Current vulnerable sector search within 6 months or willing to obtain
