Bayshore HealthCare is offering a nursing assignment in remote northern communities across BC and AB. Location: Remote Northern Communities; 2–6 weeks; pay $38/hour plus $22/hour Northern Allowance. This is a nursing adventure to broaden clinical expertise and practice scope.

You will join a team in a nursing station/Health Center, providing primary and emergency care from newborns to elders, with ongoing professional development and flexible scheduling. Bayshore emphasizes safety and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Minimum hours: 3,000 in acute/critical care within the past 5 years.
• Licensed Nurse registered in good standing.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in provinces/territories you work.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and emergency care in nursing stations/Health Centers.
• Collaborate with the team to assess, diagnose, plan, and implement care.
• Deliver health teaching, IPAC, immunizations, and care planning.
• Support emotional and physical wellbeing of clients within scope.

The work you will do:

• Work in a team atmosphere performing an expanded scope of practice in communities, providing primary and emergency care to all residents –from newborn to elders –through a nursing station / Health Center in a clinic atmosphere
• Utilize the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to care plan
• Health Promotion, Assessments, planning and implementing care using Best Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines; primary care and emergency care; travel nursing; experience creating care plans; IPAC and communicable disease control, immunizations
• Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice

Who You Are:

• You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursingand havea nursing license through the governing body in good standing
• You are a licensed Nurse registered in good standing
• You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the provinces or territories you wish to work
• You meet the required work experience
