Job summary

A community-based health organization in Nova Scotia is looking for a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner to provide trauma-informed care and conduct medical-forensic examinations. Qualifications

• Must complete NS community-based SANE training upon hire and full SANE certification at a later date.
• Three years of experience in community, women's health, or acute care preferred.
• Experience in forensic or emergency nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as part of the on-call SANE response team and respond to calls within 1.5 hours.
• Conduct medical-forensic exams and collect evidence.
• Document all interactions with the victim according to regulatory requirements.
