City of Edmonton is seeking an analytical Transportation Technician I to support urban mobility and safe community design. You will conduct technical reviews of minor development applications, evaluate residential crossings, and coordinate with Transit, LRT, and other city sections to ensure compliant infrastructure solutions.

The role requires a two-year Civil Engineering Technology diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience, with CET eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
• Minimum two years of relevant transportation planning or development review experience.
• ASET CET eligibility or certification is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Complete technical reviews and evaluations of Minor Development Applications and Residential Crossing Permits to establish transportation requirements.
• Review Utility Line Assignments against development plans to identify alignment or access conflicts.
• Prepare comments reflecting current guidelines and design standards.
• Coordinate review comments across Transit, LRT, Safe Mobility, Urban Forestry, and Waste Services.
• Maintain and update residential access crossing guidelines and boulevard offset data across web and internal references.
• Engage with applicants and partners to balance project goals with municipal infrastructure needs.
