Responsibilities

Job description

• Supervise the construction of bridges, other structures, and roadways in accordance with the requirements of the Ministère des Transports du Québec and the plans and specifications
• Ensure that the work meets project objectives and is carried out safely
• Participate in the delivery and supervision of transportation projects by collaborating with a team of technicians and professionals
• Participate in site meetings
• Perform quality control inspections of materials and their installation
• Measure completed work and compile quantities
• Prepare the documents required for payment applications
• Prepare daily reports and site memoranda
• Assist with the preparation of project plans, specifications, and estimates
• Perform all other duties related to the position

Requirements

• You hold a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Civil Engineering Technology
• You have experience supervising bridge and other structure construction work and/or infrastructure and roadway projects
• You have successfully completed certain training courses required by the Ministère des Transports du Québec, including Construction and Repair of Structures, STC-201, and STC-102—an asset
• You hold an ASP Construction safety card
• Knowledge of the Ministère des Transports du Québec’s standards and procedures is an asset
• You hold a Class 5 driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle for travel
• You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• You can communicate in French, both orally and in writing
• You have strong technical writing skills
