Job summary

EXVAL is seeking an attentive school bus assistant to help keep students safe during transport, assisting with boarding and alighting, and securing seats and mobility aids. This role involves assisting with crossings and ensuring student well-being on trips.

The position requires passing a criminal history background check and includes family health benefits. On-site role serving the Valley Road area in Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities

• Assisting passengers safely on and off the school bus.
• Securing seatbelts and/or harnesses as needed.
• Assisting students crossing the street when required.
• Operating wheelchair lifts.
• Safely securing wheelchairs using the appropriate safety tie-downs.
• Providing support and supervision to students throughout transportation.
• Helping ensure the safety and well-being of all students while on the school bus.
