Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic for a permanent, on-site role in a busy workshop in the Peel Region area. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience, a secondary school certificate, and relevant mechanic certifications. You will diagnose, repair, and service automotive and truck systems, perform road tests, and advise customers on repairs.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

  • Requires 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in vehicle/truck mechanics.
  • Must have a secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications listed: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification and Red Seal Endorsement.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Road test motor vehicles.
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices.
  • Provide customer service.
