Job summary

CIMA+ in Canada is seeking a Transmission Lines Civil Designer in Markham, Ontario. You’ll apply your engineering credentials to drive innovation on some of the largest infrastructure projects in Canada, delivering safe, cost-conscious designs.

You will develop safe engineering solutions, interpret specifications for medium complexity utilities projects, and collaborate with the leadership team to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe engineering solutions through design, problem analysis, and interpreting specifications for medium complexity utilities projects.
• Assist project/operations management in meeting safety, cost, quality, and schedule targets by proposing plan changes, recommending contractor payments, preparing progress reports, and coordinating work schedules
• Resolve highly technical and unusual design and field engineering problems through independent studies, analysis, exercising judgment in information selection, and recommending safe engineering designs
• Contribute to CIMA+'s engineering practices by conducting studies, developing technical standards, exercising judgment in information evaluation, recommending designs, and providing guidance to other engineers
