Job summary

NSC Minerals Ltd. in Western Canada is seeking a Transload Operator to support safe, efficient material handling by operating heavy equipment and managing key rail activities.

The role requires following SOPs and safety protocols and keeping the site hazard-free. You will operate wheel loaders, skid steers, railcar movers, and AWP; perform yard housekeeping; complete inspections and FLHAs; report issues; participate in toolbox talks and safety training; wear PPE; and work outdoors year-round.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a heavy industrial environment operating heavy equipment or rail equipment.
• Willingness to assist in yard and facility housekeeping.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and follow SOPs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
• Operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, skid steers, railcar movers, and aerial work platforms (AWP).
• Manage rail operations such as rail switches, spur lines, and transload conveyance systems.
• Perform yard and facility housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete equipment checklists, inspections, and Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs).
• Report equipment issues or malfunctions to the Superintendent or Operations Manager.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and investigations.
• Complete required safety and equipment training or retraining.
• Use all required safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
