A community support organization is seeking a Residential Support Worker in Vancouver to assist residents with personal development and life skills. The role requires monitoring interactions, providing support during crises, and some administrative duties. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a high school diploma, with additional certifications being beneficial. Compensation is between $19.93 to $24.91 per hour, with opportunities for training.

This is a Casual Position.
Position Purpose Summary: The Residential Support Worker (Casual/On-Call) will work with the Residents of Grace Mansion in all areas of personal development and growth, life skills, and social and spiritual activities to enable the Resident to attain their full potential.
Administrative Duties Specifics of administrative duties will vary with the different shifts.
Community Support
Governance Boards and Councils: None.
Internal: Program Manager, Program Supervisor, Intake & Case Workers, Case Workers, Other Support Workers, Maintenance and Janitorial Staff, Chaplain.
External: Grace Mansion Residents, stakeholders in the community.
Managerial/Technical Leadership Responsibility
Duties require the employee to work in Grace Mansion – an 84-room, four-story residence located at 596 East Hastings Street in downtown Vancouver. Responsibilities will involve working from a designated workstation, but will also involve movement through the residential areas, and general building. The employee may at times be subject to hazardous or disagreeable conditions in the performance of their duties.

Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $19.93 to $24.91 with a maximum of $29.89. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
