Job summary

A leading construction company in Ontario is seeking a Transportation Estimator to join their team in Scarborough. The successful candidate will have over 5 years' experience in utilities estimating and will prepare accurate estimates for transportation projects. Responsibilities include collaborating with suppliers, leading the tendering process, and engaging in site reviews. A degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering is required. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in utilities estimating.
• Experience on transit and/or transportation construction projects is an asset.
• Electrical trade background is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical and civil take-offs/estimates for transportation and transit projects.
• Accurately estimate costs using detailed drawings and specifications.
• Lead the tendering process and implement cost-monitoring procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to finalize competitive price packages.
• Engage in site reviews and project closings.
• Propose innovative solutions for project estimates.
