A local government agency in West Vancouver is seeking a Transit Supervisor. You will ensure safe and reliable transit services, support and supervise Transit Operators, and perform administrative duties. Candidates must have experience in transit, supervisory skills, and a valid Class 2 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement. This is a union, permanent, full-time position offering a salary of $52.84 per hour, working 40 hours per week.

The District of West Vancouver’s Transit Department has an immediate opening for a Permanent Full-Time Transit Supervisor.
Reporting to the Manager, Training, Safety & Compliance, the Transit Supervisor acts as a front-line supervisory contact for Transit Operators in the field and supports administrative and operational functions in the office. Duties will include:
The successful candidate will have experience in the Transit industry and the ability to supervise and lead a team of Transit Operators. The position requires demonstrated knowledge of a transit organization. Completion of a Grade 12 High School Diploma, supplemented by courses related to the work and supervisory experience in the Transit industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is a requirement of the position. The successful candidate will possess advanced computer skills and knowledge of MS Office as well as strong interpersonal skills, including coaching, communication, and conflict resolution.
Additional requirements for the position include a valid Class 2 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement for the Province of British Columbia.
