Job summary

SYSTRA Canada seeks a Structural Engineer to support transit facilities within a hybrid work model. You will coordinate structural design, calculations, and drawings across disciplines to meet project standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
P.Eng. designation is preferred but not required.
Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience in transit facilities or related infrastructure.
Knowledge of Canadian/Ontario structural design codes (OBC, CSA A23.3, CSA S16, CSA S6) and transit standards (Metrolinx, NFPA 130).
Hands-on experience with structural analysis software (SAP2000, SAFE, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and BIM/Revit workflows.

Responsibilities

Design Coordination with Structural Lead to perform and verify calculations and foundations.
Interface alignment with Architectural, Civil/Roadway, Trackwork and other teams.
Deliverable production of design briefs, calculations, specs, and drawings from concept to construction.
BIM & model reviews ensuring accurate structural models and clash checks.
Quality checks and IDR participation to meet project standards.
