The Training Delivery Specialist plays a critical role in the Training & Performance department, overseeing the Training Representative (TR) team and ensuring effective training delivery to Screening Officers (SOs). The Training Delivery Specialist is responsible for managing training requirements, coordinating training activities, executing training programs, designing Return to Work Programs, maintaining training records, monitoring compliance, analyzing training outcomes, and providing subject matter expertise for Human Resources. The specialist ensures the implementation of protocols and standards, supports long‑term planning, and contributes to the continuous improvement of training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Screening Officer training requirements by effectively deploying the TR team.
  • Coordinate training activities to ensure timely implementation of changes to protocols and standards.
  • Execute training and follow-up requirements based on regular lists of training priorities.
  • Design and execute Return to Work Programs for Screening Officers, ensuring competency and compliance.
  • Deliver and/or manage resources for new SO orientation, e-modules, SOF (Screening Officer Foundations), and On‑the‑Job Training (OJT).
  • Ensure that Performance Event Coaching Plans identified by the client are completed by TRs within compliance.
  • Maintain and update the database in accordance with the National Training & Certification Program (NTCP) requirements.
  • Provide access to and control of all training records.
  • Analyze trends in training outcomes in collaboration with the Program Delivery Manager.
  • Provide regular updates on Training & Development KPIs and programs as required.
  • Participate in Training Representative and Screening Officer interviews to assess suitability for training roles.
  • Monitor the consistent application of GardaWorld Employee regulations within the training programs.
Education
  • Post Secondary diploma or degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in the aviation or security industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a training and curriculum development role.

Working Conditions

Physical requirements include but are not limited to – standing, lifting, sitting for prolonged periods, extensive use of a computer/electronic device.

Ability to mentally focus and concentrate for prolonged periods.

Ability to facilitate in‑person sessions that requires standing, sitting, walking, speaking, and directing participation of small (3 to 4 people) to large (20 to 50 people) groups during regular business hours over multiple days.

Exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.

Work near others. Will share the same workspace and work with people from varying organizational levels, divisions, departments and geographical locations.

Demonstrated ability to work remotely with little to no supervision.

May need to work or travel outside of regular work hours.

Overtime can be controlled but may be required dependent on program needs.

Works with little to no direct supervision on routine tasks.
