  • On-the-job training to become a qualified Seeing Eye Dog Mobility Instructor under International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF) standards
  • Sydney location travel within NSW required
  • BaseSalary $89275 Su perannuationwith Salary Packaging up to $15.9k

We support the journey of a Seeing Eye Dog from their breeding and initial development as puppies through their advanced training to ensure they can safely guide their future partners to matching them with a client and finally ending with their happy retirement after years of dedicated service.

About the Opportunity
  • Work with a skilled passionate team of specialists in service provision and dog training receiving on-the-job training
  • Train dogs to matching status within the timeframe allotted
  • Interview client to assess suitability for Seeing Eye Dog mobility
  • Support clients of all capabilities in the use of a Seeing Eye Dog and how to care for and maintain their dog
  • Provide aftercare and follow-up to clients in the field engaging creative and critical thinking collaboration and good problem solving skills

About You
  • Qualifications in allied health disciplines (desirable);
  • Qualifications in animal studies or equivalent discipline;
  • Advanced effective communicating skills including presentation and public speaking written communications and a proven ability to collaborate with multiple departments within the organisation;
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring people;
  • Proven ability to meet the physical demands of the job including brisk walking in all weather and handling young active dogs up;
