Job summary

Resonance Dental Studio in Charlottetown is seeking a Trainee Dental Technician for a busy laboratory environment. You will pour models, create trays, thermoform retainers, articulate models and produce silicone duplicates with hands-on precision.

A 1-hour practical skills test will assess technical potential, followed by probation. Starting wage is CAD 19/hour with benefits after probation; training and uniform provided along with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Job description

Resonance Dental Studio is looking for a Trainee Dental Technician for our busy Dental Lab in Charlottetown. Candidate would need to be punctual and reliable, have good hand eye coordination, artistic ability, technical ability, be able to see and imagine in 3D and be able to work independently with good time management and multi-tasking skills.

You will be responsible for pouring models in dental plaster, making custom trays for impressions, thermoforming orthodontic retainers, articulating dental models, making silicone duplicates and any other tasks required in a modern dental laboratory.

Candidates will have to complete a practical test (approx 1hr) so we can assess if there is technical ability and promise.

Salary would be starting at $19 / hour to be re-assessed after 6 month probation period. Also after the probation period we would also offer medical and dental health benefits to the successful candidate.

The position requires someone who is good with hands-on tasks, has great hand-eye coordination, and is a motivated self-starter. If your hobbies include arts and crafts you could very well be suited to this position. Time and task management are essential skills, as you will be performing multiple tasks simultaneously. Training and uniform will be provided – all we ask is that you bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn the skills required.

Candidate must have the legal right to work in Canada (PR or Citizenship).

NOTE: There is a dog in the lab every day.
