Job summary

Elevex in Montreal is offering a trainee/apprentice technician position for students in electromechanics and related fields. You’ll work beside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on practice with forklifts and supporting equipment, with training from day one and a path toward a real career.

If you love figuring out how machines work, this internship provides diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and the chance to grow into a skilled technician at Elevex.

Qualifications

• Have completed or are about to complete a DEP in electromechanics, heavy vehicle mechanics, heavy equipment mechanics, or a related field.
• Enjoy understanding how things work and solving problems.
• Strong interest in mechanics and technology.
• Teamwork oriented and eager to learn hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Take part in the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of forklifts.
• Build knowledge of mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and control systems.
• Work on different types of equipment: electric and combustion forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, aerial work platforms, and more.
• Learn to identify malfunctions and understand how different systems work.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Progressively build independence, supported by our technical team.
