Job summary

Transportation Equipment Network Canada is seeking an Edmonton Trailer Technician to join our team. You will inspect trailers, perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair electrical, braking, tires, and structural components.

Welding and fabrication skills are valued, with emphasis on safety and accurate record-keeping. Eligible candidates hold a 310J or 310T license, have proven trailer service experience, and can lift up to 85 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Truck-Trailer Service Technician (310J) or Licensed Truck and Coach Technician (310T).
  • Proven experience as a Trailer Service Technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of trailer systems (electrical, suspension, braking, structural).
  • Experience in fabrication, welding and/or tailgate repairs is an asset.
  • Collaborative team player with good written and oral communication.
  • Able to safely lift up to 85 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks (lubrication, replace worn components, adjust brakes/suspension).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues using diagnostic tools.
  • Repair or replace damaged trailer parts (electrical, tires, brakes, lights, couplers, axles).
  • Perform welding, fabrication and bodywork repairs as needed.
  • Ensure safety regulations and industry standards are met during all procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed (parts used, labor hours).
