Job summary

Valley Equipment Ltd. in Hartland, NB, is seeking an apprentice Trailer Mechanic to join our large-trailer service team. You will repair and maintain trailers, perform inspections, and complete reports on work performed.

This full-time role requires physical strength and willingness to work 9-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with possible overtime. Previous dealership experience is an asset; strong organizational and problem-solving skills are essential.

• Repairing and replacing parts of trailers including mechanical, brakes, bearings, suspensions, electrical systems, and hitch installs
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Review work orders and discuss work with Service Advisor
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Job description

We currently have a full-time position available for an apprentice Trailer Mechanic at our Hartland location.

We’re looking for a mechanic that will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of large commercial trailers. This job requires physical strength, including heavy lifting, frequent bending, and working in tight spaces.

Responsibilities and requirements:

• Repairing and replacing parts of trailers including mechanical, brakes, bearings, suspensions, electrical systems, and hitch installs
