Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment firm is seeking a Civil Traffic & Transportation Engineer to join their Municipal/Land Development Transportation Design Group in Ottawa, Ontario. Candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation, along with P.Eng designation or the ability to register with PEO. This role requires strong communication skills and 4+ years of experience in traffic analysis and design.

Qualifications

  • P.Eng designation or the ability to register with PEO.
  • 4+ years of experience required.
  • Field or Site Work experience an asset (survey, inspection).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct traffic impact analysis and report preparation.
  • Develop design concepts into preliminary designs.
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates.
  • Attend presentations for Public Open House/Planning Committee Meetings.

Job Summary:

Our client is currently seeking a Civil Traffic & Transportation Engineer to join their Municipal/Land Development Transportation Design Group in Ottawa, Ontario!

Job Duties:
  • Traffic impact analysis and report preparation, including: coordinating traffic counts, calculating growth rates, trip generation, assessing traffic impact at access locations/nearby intersections, and compiling recommended roadway improvement
  • Develop design concepts into preliminary designs, including: preparation of design briefs, detailed geometry and general layout development, as well as other infrastructure elements
  • Preliminary cost estimates
  • Use and expand knowledge of current industry practices and standards and undertake engineering analysis following these approved standards and procedures.
  • Attend/prepare presentations for Public Open House/Planning Committee Meetings as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering – Interest or Concentration in Transportation
  • P.Eng designation or the ability to register with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO)
