Recruiting in Motion is helping place entry-level Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) for permanent, on-call opportunities on Vancouver Island, BC. No experience needed; free TCP certification and on-road training are provided.

Positions span Nanaimo, Duncan, Victoria, Sooke, Sidney and nearby areas, with a pay rate of $21.00/hour plus vacation pay. Start date ASAP. Ideal for those seeking a start or career development in traffic control, outdoors and on-call schedules.

Qualifications

• No experience needed.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable personal vehicle for commuting to job sites.
• Comfortable driving within the assigned Vancouver Island service area.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to stand and work for extended periods.
• Available for on-call hours.
• Candidates must be available for minimum 3 weekdays per week.

Responsabilités

• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely around construction and work sites.
• Use hand signals, traffic signs, radios, and other traffic control methods.
• Set up and remove traffic signs, cones, barricades, and other equipment.
• Assist with traffic detours and single-lane traffic control.
• Communicate with construction crews, supervisors, motorists, and pedestrians.
• Monitor traffic and site conditions and report safety concerns.
• Follow traffic control plans and all required safety procedures.
• Work outdoors and remain on your feet for extended periods.
