Job summary

The City of Thunder Bay is hiring a Traffic Control & Street Lighting Technician I to install, maintain, and repair traffic control and street lighting systems that keep residents safe and travelers moving smoothly.

You will provide technical leadership to the crew, cover the crew leader role when assigned, and attend safety, traffic control, and electrical seminars in support of a culture of safety, respect, and continuous learning.

How You'll Support the Team

In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair traffic control and street lighting systems while providing technical leadership and support to the team. You will also have the following accountabilities:

• Responsible for installing all new Traffic Control & Street Lighting.
• Responsible for maintaining and repairing Traffic Control & Street Lighting equipment.
• Assumes the duties of the Crew Leader when assigned.
• Attends Safety, Traffic Control and Electrical seminars.
