Job summary

Nexco is hiring for a role focused on traffic control and site safety in Dartmouth, NS. The team values a strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork, with training provided to newcomers and opportunities to protect workers and the public.

You will assist with setting up work zones, direct traffic safely, and stay alert to changing conditions while communicating clearly with crew members. This entry-level opportunity welcomes applicants with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial Traffic Control Person certification is an asset; we welcome applicants without certification and provide training.
• Must wear steel-toe safety boots.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up temporary work zones.
• Guide and direct traffic safely through work zones.
• Stay alert to changing traffic conditions and hazards.
• Alert crew members to potential dangers and communicate clearly.
