What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Maple Ridge is seeking an Investment Associate (Trade Execution Specialist) to join a successful Investment team. You will assist in executing trading as well as Financial Planning.

What will you do?
  • Execute portfolio changes (Trading Execution)
  • Exchange foreign currency when needed
  • Review cash balances (debits & credits) for investment or debit coverage for discretionary and non-discretionary accounts
  • Execute all other trading for team members. (i.e. post client review portfolio changes, monthly AFT & RIF payments, on off EFTs & bank wires) – Trade Execution only
  • Bridge between administrative team and financial planning/investment team
  • Assist with analyzing financial situations, identify objectives, and developing strategies to meet objectives
  • Review and maintain Private Investment Management (PIM) Dashboard, keeping client accounts on side with regards to their current Investment Policy Statement (IPS).
  • Review and execute on any reorg notices
  • Draw on your social media skills to update the team’s communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Approval as an Investment Representative (IR) with CIRO or willing to become CIRO licensed
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Nice-to-have

  • 4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly-developed technical skills

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.

The expected base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.0x base salary.
