Job summary

Dana Incorporated in Canada is seeking a Traction Motor Technologist to lead the engineering effort of major electric motor projects from concept to production, ensuring high quality throughout.

You will develop motor design solutions, own DVP&R, lead DFMEA and design reviews, perform FEA/NVH analyses, support prototypes and validation, and collaborate across disciplines to hit deadlines, cost targets, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3 years of progressive experience in automotive or similar field.
• Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in design / development of electrification products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver motor design solutions meeting customer requirements
• Own DVP&R definition and execution to validate product performance
• Lead DFMEA activities and design reviews
• Perform analysis including FEA, NVH, and tolerance stack-ups
• Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities
• Lead root cause analysis and issue resolution
• Support cost optimisation and manufacturing readiness
• Present technical content to internal and customer stakeholders

The Traction Motor Technologist will be responsible for the design and development of electric motors from concept to production, ensuring high quality standards throughout.

Education And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
