Job summary

Toonie Tours is seeking energetic Walking Tour Guides for Toronto, ON. Lead 5–30 guest walking tours, tell engaging stories of the city, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Flexible seasonal roles (Full-Time & Part-Time) with competitive hourly pay, commissions, and benefits for eligible full-time staff. Weekend/evening availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent public speaking and storytelling with humor.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Knowledge of Toronto history and landmarks is a plus.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging walking tours for groups of 5–30 guests.

Position Overview

Toonie Tours is currently hiringSeasonal Full-Time and Part-Time Walking Tour Guidesto join our team in Toronto, ON.

As a Walking Tour Guide, you will lead groups of 5–30 guests on engaging walking tours while sharing the history, culture, and hidden gems of your city. You'll create memorable experiences through storytelling, exceptional customer service, and your passion for your local community.

This is anemployee positionoffering competitive hourly pay, performance-based earning opportunities, and employee benefits.

Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is preferred throughout the tourism season.

Tour Details

• Duration: Approximately 3 hours
• Tour times: 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM
• Languages: Portuguese, English, and/or Spanish

• Lead engaging and entertaining walking tours for groups of 5–30 guests.
• Learn, research, and confidently present stories about your city's history, culture, and landmarks.
• Welcome guests and provide an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
• Share recommendations for local restaurants, attractions, events, and activities.
• Promote Toonie Tours experiences and products to enhance each guest's visit.
• Represent Toonie Tours professionally while serving as an ambassador for your community.
• Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and other assigned duties.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Strong communication and public speaking skills.

• Passion for your community and sharing it with visitors.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Comfortable walking approximately 5 km over a 2–3 hour tour while speaking throughout.
• Adaptable and confident working in changing outdoor conditions.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
