A financial regulatory authority in Toronto is seeking an HRIS Lead to provide specialized expertise in total rewards and workforce planning. The role involves leading HRIS processes in Workday, managing job evaluations, and advising on compensation strategies. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Human Resources and 5-7 years of relevant experience, especially in a unionized setting.
Accountable for providing specialized expertise, leadership and advisory services on total rewards (e.g., compensation, benefits, and other employee rewards programs) and HRIS programs, services and initiatives in the areas of workforce planning, Workday and compensation in support of the overall Human Resources strategies and commitment to customer service.
Provides strategic expertise, advice and guidance to Human Resources management, colleagues and clients across FSRA regarding FSRA’s total rewards (e.g., benefits, pension, salary administration, job description and job evaluation) and workforce planning strategy, programs and plans including the interpretation and application of relevant legislation, collective agreements and FSRA policies.
As the HRIS Lead, ensures human resource business needs are defined, prioritized and implemented through oversight and support of the Human Capital Management (HCM) related modules (e.g. Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Recruitment, Talent and Performance Management, and Learning, etc.) in Workday.
Leads the testing, validation and implementation of HRIS business process changes.
Manages the creation, changes and maintenance of HCM Supervisory Organization, Custom Organizations, Location, Pay Group, etc.
Leads the job evaluation of FSRA’s executive, management and unionized positions. Provides direction and support to management and HR colleagues on the job description writing process, facilitate of job evaluation committee meetings and guides determination of evaluations of all FSRA positions, utilizing multiple executive, management and unionized job evaluation structures, guidelines and systems.
Leads FSRA’s Pay for Performance Program including development of tools, guidelines and resources; oversight of program administration and analysis and reporting of outcomes.
Oversees the maintenance of all compensation content within various databases and shared drives, including repository of job descriptions, updates on salary ranges, salary administration and pay for performance guidelines.
Leads the analysis and resolution of complex compensation issues with the HR Team and clients and participates, as required, to resolve related grievances.
Develops reports and conducts analyses on total rewards programs and plans including trends, cost projections in support of planning, Board presentations, government submissions, collective bargaining and / or corporate budgeting purposes.
Administers FSRA’s salary structure and compensation plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative authorities, Collective Agreements and applicable policies. Works collaboratively with Payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness of changes to FSRA employee salaries.
Researches and gathers information on compensation and benefits best practices, legislative issues and market competitiveness and identifies and recommends technology needs / trends required to effectively deliver compensation and benefits.
Develops FSRA workforce demographic profiles and analyses outlining risks, impacts, issues, trends and projections to support the assessment of current and future capacity for service delivery in areas such as : staff strength, vacancy management, succession planning, talent management, retirement projections etc.
Provides coaching and training to HR team and clients regarding total rewards including workforce planning, HRIS, compensation, benefits and linkages with overall human resources programs, services and initiatives.
Leads special projects to support total rewards initiatives and strategic priorities, program development and governance for compensation and benefit plans.
Leads / participates on internal Human Resources Committees and prepares presentations / briefings, as required for the Director or Chief Human Resources Officer for submission to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
Works in collaboration with colleagues across Human Resources on department priorities for FSRA.
