In this position, you’ll take charge of managing tools, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring they are inventoried, and deployed seamlessly for on-site jobs. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventories of tools and equipment, ensuring availability for operational needs.
  • Assist in the procurement of new equipment and tools as required, including managing quotation processes.
  • Ensure tools required for industrial mechanic tasks are functional and ready for use.
  • Conduct regular calibration checks on tools to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in the maintenance of calibration records to ensure regulatory compliance and support audit processes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or calibration facilities to maintain proper tool calibration and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Implement systems or procedures to track tool usage, repairs, and replacements to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Vehicle and Tooling Deployment
  • Coordinate the deployment of vehicles and tooling units for on-site jobs, ensuring they are properly equipped with necessary supplies and meet safety regulations.
  • Prepare company vehicles for deployment to job sites by ensuring they are equipped with the required tools, office supplies, consumables, and other materials.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of vehicles and tooling units to job sites, making sure they arrive punctually and in proper condition.
  • Monitor job site schedules and ensure vehicles and tooling units are deployed and retrieved according to project timelines.
  • Conduct post-job inspections of vehicles and tooling units when they are returned, ensuring all tools and equipment are accounted for and in good condition.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and team members to coordinate logistics for vehicle and tooling deployment and retrieval.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of industrial tools, equipment, and calibration processes.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Experience with procurement, vendor management, or logistics in an industrial or mechanical environment is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment as required.
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment and occasionally on-site.
