KIRCHHOFF Automotive Aurora is seeking an aspiring Tool and Die Apprentice to support the Tool and Die Maker journeyman in tool making and related tasks.

Attend college courses, attain certification, and participate in development work including layout, machine operations, fitting and testing of dies and fixtures. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and continuous improvement in a modern automotive plant.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Graduate of 2-year college program in Tool and Die or equivalent.
• Registered as a Tool and Die Apprentice.

Responsabilités

• Support the Tool and Die Maker journeyman in all tool making tasks.
• Attend required training courses at a recognized college.
• Plan and construct a wide variety of tools, dies, fixtures and gauges to close tolerances.
• Perform development work, layout and difficult tool room machine operations, fitting, timing and adjusting.
• Dismantles and repairs dies and fixtures, fits and assembles parts, tests repaired dies.
