Tire Technician - OTR

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location: Shop: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB

Requirements:

  • Personal Reliable Vehicle
  • CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract, Class 3Q required

Pre-employment:

  • Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
  • Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
  • Fitness to Work Assessment

Tire Technician (OTR) Responsibilities:

  • Service tires on vehicles and a variety of equipment.
  • Assemble and prepare OTR tires for installation or repair
  • Operate heavy-duty tire servicing equipment and tools
  • Assist in maintaining inventory for tire-related equipment
  • Respond to after-hours call-outs as directed by your supervisor
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Tire Technician (OTR) Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an OTR Tire Technician
  • Experience operating and maintaining tire manipulators required
  • Experience Operating a service truck required
