Job summary

Autism Services in Canada is seeking an automotive tire service helper to assist with tire mounting, balancing, and general shop duties. You will help drivers park, inspect tires, and support experienced technicians in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a friendly, safety-minded approach, the ability to lift up to 50 lb, a valid driver's license, and basic English proficiency. Training is provided through in-shop and online programs.

Qualifications

• Open friendly disposition with ability to collaborate with others.
• English proficiency (CLB 4 or higher) is required.
• Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lb and handle basic shop tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer vehicles in/out of shop and check air on tires.
• Assist with tire mounting/dismounting and balancing.
• Perform oil changes and assist mechanics as needed.
• Greet customers, maintain shop cleanliness, inventory, and yard.
• Shovel snow and de-ice walkways; ensure safety at all times.

Job description

Tire Service (passenger, light truck, medium truck and farm)

• Driving customer vehicles in and out of shop
• Check air on all vehicles in shop regardless of service provided
• Repairing flat tires Dismounting & mounting tires
• Balancing tires Installing tires Rotating tires Studding tires
• Retorqueing customers wheels

Auto Service Duties Include:

Performing oil changes and associated inspection Assisting mechanic Ongoing Activities Greet and assist customers when customers enter or approach shop Maintaining cleanliness of shop, warehouse, staffroom, washrooms and yard Shoveling snow and de-icing walkways and entrances to store Picking up products from suppliers Maintaining and counting inventory

Skills Development

• One-on-one in-shop training
• Online training (Goodyear Training Centre, Bistrainer & Motor Safety Association)
