Job summary

Kal Tire in Amaranth, ON is seeking a Tire Retread Technician to join a hands-on manufacturing team. Build expertise in retreading to extend tire life and support sustainability goals.

You’ll train on retread operations with clear progression and performance feedback. The role offers a full-time afternoon/evening shift (3:00pm-2:00am) with overtime during peak seasons and benefits including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools or equipment.
  • Ability to use PPE and follow safety procedures.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, attendance and teamwork are essential.
  • Basic computer skills for recording production data.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Are you mechanically inclined and looking for a hands‑on opportunity in manufacturing? Kal Tire is seeking Tire Retread Technicians to join our team at our re‑manufacturing facility in Amaranth, ON just outside of Orangeville.


As a Tire Retread Technician, you’ll play a key role in extending the life of commercial tires through the retreading process, helping reduce waste and support our commitment to sustainability. You’ll be part of a close‑knit production team that values precision, safety, and teamwork.


What to Expect in This Role:


  • You’ll work in a manufacturing environment that can be warm, noisy, and fast‑paced.

  • You’ll be on your feet most of the day, using hand tools and machines to inspect, buff, and prepare tires for retreading.

  • The work is repetitive but methodical, requiring patience and a strong attention to detail.

  • You’ll wear protective gear (gloves, safety glasses, steel‑toe boots) and follow strict safety procedures.

  • You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to meet daily production goals.


Training & Onboarding:


  • Paid training, covering retread operations.

  • Skill progression, through all parts of the tire remanufacturing process.

  • Clear expectations and feedback at each stage of your training.


Pay & Benefits:


  • Starting wage of 23.09 + 1.00 premium per hour dependent on experience. We offer a clear path for career advancement with wage increases along the way.

Schedule & Work Environment:


  • Full‑time afternoon/evening shifts 3:00pm-2:00am.

  • No Shift Rotation.

  • Sundays and Holidays off.

  • Overtime available during peak seasons.
