Midas West Kelowna has an immediate opening for a responsible, dedicated individual to join our team as a tire and lube technician.

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience.

We are looking for general service technicians who can work independently as well as collaboratively with peers. We have a full-service facility and are seeking automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas general service technician, you’ll be responsible for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance services, including:

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid exchanges and oil changes
• Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections
• Mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing tires
• Testing and replacing batteries
• Changing bulbs, belts, and hoses
• Maintaining and cleaning shop areas
• Performing other shop maintenance items as needed
• Providing excellent customer service through efficient tire installation and repair for passenger vehicles such as cars and light trucks
• Collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality tire & automotive service
• Retrieving customer vehicles, securing them on hoist/jacks, and performing tire repairs, dismounts, and mounts
• Performing additional maintenance/repairs such as oil changes, tire rotations, and supervised minor mechanical repairs
• Keeping the facility and equipment in a safe, neat, and clean condition at all times, both inside and outside

Requirements

• Previous tire installation and service experience is an asset
• Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of routine automotive maintenance and repairs
• Positive attitude and commitment to excellent client care

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
