Job summary

MacEwan University invites applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, to also serve as Director of the Maria T. Schneider Social Innovation Institute.

The appointment begins January 1, 2027, with a probationary, tenure-track path at Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, curriculum development, and a high-impact research program, while leading the Schneider Institute and engaging in fundraising

Qualifications

• PhD in business, management, or related field.
• Evidence of outstanding teaching ability and commitment to undergraduate education.
• Active program of original and innovative research in innovation, entrepreneurship, social enterprises, and/or Indigenous business.
• Experience leading a research program with productivity and funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching and curriculum development for the CRC appointment.
• Serve as Director of the Maria T. Schneider Social Innovation Institute.
• Develop and manage a research program with scholarly outputs.
• Engage in fundraising and budget management for the institute.
• Collaborate across departments within the Triffo School of Business.
