Job summary

Equine Jobtrack in Toronto is seeking a punctual groom to care for 5–6 horses daily, 6–7 days a week. You will muck stalls, brush horses, and prepare them for morning training starting at 5:00 am.

Responsibilities include washing feed tubs and water buckets, schooling horses for race days, saddling, bandaging, and ensuring horses are sound. Knowledge of lameness is required; housing accommodations may be provided.

Qualifications

• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Knowledge of horse care and basic handling.
• Understanding of lameness signs and basic assessment.

Responsibilities

• Muck stalls and maintain clean stalls.
• Brush horses and prepare them for morning training at 5:00 am.
• Wash feed tubs and water buckets.
• Prepare horses for race events and school them as needed.
• Know how to saddle a horse and apply bandages.
• Housing accommodations may be assisted.

Job description

• – mocking stalls
• – picking their feet/brushing the horses and preparing them for morning training starting at 5:00 am.
• – washing their feed tubs/water buckets
• – preparing them for race events on race days; schooling their horses
• – knowing how to saddle a horse; putting on bandages
• – MUST have knowledge of lameness of their horses
