A healthcare organization in Oakville is seeking a part-time Therapy Assistant to implement ABA and OT interventions for children with autism and developmental delays. The role involves following intervention plans, tracking client progress, and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or be pursuing education in ABA/OT and possess experience in this field. The position offers competitive compensation and a dynamic work environment.
The Therapy Assistant (TA) is primarily responsible for implementing Applied Behavior Analysis and Occupational Therapy interventions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other learning and development delays and/or maladaptive behaviour. The TA executes intervention plans developed and supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA) or Occupational Therapist for clients in care of Monarch House. The TA works within an interdisciplinary team to support skill acquisition and/or decrease maladaptive behaviors while providing an engaging and positive client experience in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment. The TA is primarily responsible for implementing interdisciplinary treatment to clients across Monarch House.
Job Type: Part-time. Hourly
Job setting: Clinic and community-based in Oakville
Salary: $21-24/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 7:00 PM EST (depends on client needs; may not be scheduled for all)
