We are looking for an Assistant Manager for our Shoe Co. banner who will put their best foot forward and help coach and lead the store team.
As an Assistant Manager, you will report to the Store Manager and assist in leading the store environment, fostering inclusivity and diverse customer connections. You will be responsible for coaching and leading the team to achieve store objectives, including in-store sales, web orders, recruiting, performance management, training and development. Your ability to problem solve, thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead a dynamic team, collaborate and execute on operational excellence will be key to your success.

Responsibilities
- Assumes leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Facilitates achievement of business results by role modelling a shopping experience that encourages responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation and operational integrity that will foster positive customer connections and loyalty.
- Lead an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
- Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who have a love of shoes.
- Achieves company objectives and enhances The Shoe Co. brand image by modeling our values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/Humility.
- Develops and implements agile business plans to achieve results.
- Fosters teamwork, collaboration and change advocacy within the store and district.
- Maintain effective, open lines of communication with the Store Manager.
Qualifications
- Proven success in the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
- Proficiency in computer use, including e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet programs (e.g., MS Word and Excel).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on delivering a compelling customer experience.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a progressive retail supervisory role.
- Ability to work various shifts, including days, closing shifts and weekends.
