Overview

Cineplex Entertainment, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, is recruiting for the position of Bartender – Seasons of Tuxedo, reporting to the General Manager. This position will be based at our The Rec Room Seasons of Tuxedo, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

What you will do

Prepare alcoholic drinks for patrons at the Rec Room venues, follow standard drink recipes, and mix drinks quickly and accurately. Check identification to ensure minimum drinking age. Take drink orders, serve drinks, and process payments. Support the bar area by stocking, arranging bottles and barware, washing glasses, and maintaining a clean work station. Assist with inventory, receive and stock liquor and bar supplies, and maintain attractive displays. Ensure guest safety by recognizing signs of overconsumption and arranging safe transportation when necessary.

Job Duties
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Wash glassware and utensils after each use.
  • Pour wine and beer.
  • Collect payment and operate POS.
  • Serve food to guests seated at the bar.
  • Check identification of guests to meet age requirements for alcohol purchases.
  • Determine when a customer has had too much alcohol and take appropriate action to ensure safe transportation.
  • Clean up after guests and maintain the work area.
  • Order and maintain liquor and bar supplies.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays.
  • Serve guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Handle and move objects such as glasses and bottles.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Mix ingredients according to drink recipes.
  • Perform physical activities such as lifting and stooping.
  • Refuse service if necessary and arrange transportation or call authorities if required.
  • Clean, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Completed Bartending classes preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years Bartending experience.
  • Current provincially Smart Serve Certification considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes.
  • Ability to handle large crowds.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management.
Work Conditions
  • Will be exposed to extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 50 lb required.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
  • High-stress, fast-paced environment.
