Job description
The Maligne Range Restaurant Manager, Jasper, Alberta

Location: Jasper, AB

Position Type: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $26 an hour

Hours: 40 hours per week. Shift schedule includes overtime and on‑call work.

Work Setting: Staff accommodation available; willing to relocate.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits.
  • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
  • Evaluate daily operations and monitor revenues to determine labour cost.
  • Monitor staff performance and determine type of services to be offered.
  • Plan and organise daily operations, recruit staff, set staff work schedules.
  • Supervise, train staff and conduct performance reviews.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Organise and maintain inventory; ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation; manage events.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and provide customer service.
  • Lead/instruct individuals and supervise 16‑20 people.
Qualifications
  • Secondary (high school) graduation certificate; 1‑2 years of relevant experience.
  • Computer and technology knowledge, MS Office proficiency.
  • ProServe program certification, licence or membership consideration.
  • Security and safety awareness; bondable.
  • Physical capability for standing extended periods; fast‑paced environment; attention to detail; efficient interpersonal skills; excellent oral communication; reliability; team player.
