The Big Playhouse is seeking F/T Early Childhood Educators.

· Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

· Wage: $22.50~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)

· Number of Positions: 3

Job Duties:

· Develop and implement child-care programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

· Plan and conduct activities by reading stories and teaching songs

· Set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and prepare snacks

· Prepare reports for parents and supervisors regarding children’s behavioural issues and potential learning

· Guide and assist children in eating, dressing and toilet habits.

· Maintain daycare environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

· Help children to express the creativities and find interests through art, music, play and physical activities

Job requirements:

· Experience: Experience is an asset

· Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
