Job description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean, orderly, and well-maintained. This position requires availability on weekdays and/or weekends.
Please note that this position is not eligible for RCIP applications
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning: Clean and prepare guest rooms for occupancy, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities.
- Bathroom Cleaning: Sanitize bathrooms, clean mirrors, replace towels, and replenish toiletries.
- Public Areas: Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobby, and other public areas
- Guest Requests: Respond to guest requests for additional items or services promptly and courteously.
- Laundry Services: Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and towels.
- Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs in guest rooms or public areas.
- Compliance: Follow hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff and hotel employees to ensure a positive guest experience.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with guests and team members in a professional manner.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
