Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Toronto is seeking a Counter-Sorter who will open bags of soiled textiles, sort by type, size and color, and record counts in the sorting system.

You will identify damaged textiles, assist production flow, and transfer items to other departments while reporting to the Production Manager. The role requires teamwork and adherence to PPE policies in an industrial laundry setting.

Qualifications

• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems.
• Support production flow.
• Flexibility to perform different tasks within the team based on daily operational needs.
• Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies.

Responsibilities

• Open bag of soiled textiles, then sort by type, size and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems.
• Comply with efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Follow policy and procedures related to wearing assigned PPE.
• Work in a team environment.
