Job summary

A leading aviation company in Montreal is seeking an Inspector NDT Level 2 to conduct non-destructive testing on aircraft and components. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing testing techniques, writing technical instructions, and certifying compliance. A College Degree in a relevant field and an intermediate knowledge of aircraft structures are required. The role offers success sharing bonuses and medical insurance among other benefits, in a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• One method among Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and Dye Penetrant level 2 certifications completed or in progress.
• Experience in non-destructive testing on aircraft or components.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-destructive tests on aircraft or components.
• Implement techniques and calibrate devices according to certifications.
• Write technical instructions for requested tests.
• Prepare inspection reports certifying component's conformity.
• Participate in feasibility studies on new materials and methods.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out non‑destructive tests on aircraft or components in maintenance or at manufacturing stage
• Implementing the technique, making adjustments and calibrating the device and applying inspection procedures, according to one’s certifications
• Writing technical instructions for the implementation of the requested test to be validated by the Level 3
• Writing inspection reports including results, sanctions and certifying the component’s conformity as per specified acceptance criteria
• Writing delivery documents (delivery slip, conformity declaration and TCCA/EASA form 1) for the inspected whole, if needed
• Participating in the development of feasibility studies by leading non‑destructive tests on new materials, procedures, assemblies, structures, etc. and determining the most suitable methods
• Contributing to the development of NDT solutions dedicated to specific needs, followed by their adjustment, qualification and promotion
• Conducting follow‑up of customers’ requirements as per internal quality procedures
• Maintaining obtained skills and certifications and acquiring new ones

Qualifications

• College Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of aircraft structures and materials
• One method among Ultrasonic, Eddy Current and Dye Penetrant level 2 certifications completed or in progress
• Advanced level of English
• Energetic, flexible, organized, rigorous and autonomous, as well as being a people‑person with advanced writing skills
