EVONA is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Test Technician for Canada-based propulsion testing. You will assemble and prepare rocket engines and test articles, install instrumentation, and work on high-pressure fluid systems to support hot-fire campaigns.
You’ll handle mounting, testing, and teardown of hardware under extreme conditions, collaborating with engineers and quality teams to ensure safety and precision throughout the process.

We are partnering with an ambitious heavily backed space launch company developing the next generation of launch vehicle technology in Canada.
Backed by significant funding and led by engineers from some of the world’s most successful aerospace and launch organisations, the company is now building the infrastructure required to develop, test and ultimately launch its vehicle.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your day watching hardware from behind a desk. You’ll be the person putting your hands on it.
At the heart of the programme is a 725 kN liquid rocket engine — and they are now building the team that will assemble, install, test and ultimately help fire it.
They’re looking for hands-on Mechanical Test Technicians to join their propulsion test operation in Canada.
If you’ve worked around high-pressure systems, cryogenics, fluid systems, turbomachinery, aerospace hardware or complex mechanical equipment, this is an opportunity to take that experience into rocket propulsion.
Your job is simple to describe, but difficult to execute:
Make sure the hardware is ready to fire.
You’ll work alongside propulsion and test engineers preparing rocket engines and test articles for hot-fire campaigns.
One day you could be mounting an engine onto a test stand. The next you’ll be installing instrumentation, connecting high-pressure fluid systems, torquing critical fittings or performing leak and pressure checks before a firing.
When a test is complete, you’ll help tear the hardware down, inspect it, identify what survived, what didn’t, and prepare everything for the next iteration.
You’ll be working directly with hardware operating under extreme pressures, temperatures and loads, where attention to detail genuinely matters.
You don’t necessarily need to have worked on rockets before.
We’re interested in people from aerospace, aviation, oil & gas, defence, automotive, industrial testing, manufacturing or other demanding mechanical environments where safety and precision matter.
This is an opportunity to join a rocket programme while the test capability is still being built — not after everything has already been established.
You’ll help build the facility, install the hardware, support the test campaigns and watch systems you’ve physically worked on come alive during hot-fire testing.
