What you'll be doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Digital Technology team, supporting TEM for Personal and Business Banking (PBB) with a focus on value-conscious consumers. Within a team of senior professionals, you will have the opportunity to broaden your technical skills and contribute to building the bank of the future by adopting agile and modular approaches to strategy and technology. You will support and maintain the QA environment infrastructure for Shared Platform Technology, lead change and incident management for Shared Platform QA environments, ensuring compliance with established controls and standards. You will apply technical knowledge to manage documentation, costs, staffing, and managerial planning for centralized test environments across all SPT apps.

Details on work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed during your interview.

How you'll succeed
  • QA Infrastructure management: Perform and coordinate infrastructure updates and management, handle configuration, setup and incident management if QA environments are impacted by issues. Document the QA environment infrastructure and environments and manage the booking of those environments. Lead the maintenance and management design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
  • Systems Implementation: Participate in the technical design and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. Oversee QA environment operational activities, including issue management (notification/communication, resolution, root cause determination), problem management, deviation management, and risk management.
  • Communication and Coordination: Interact with internal stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications or troubleshoot QA environment issues.
  • Automation & Monitoring Tools: Extensively use Parasoft SOA Test, Jira, HP-ALM, and Confluence for test automation, defect tracking, and documentation. Proficient in using Dynatrace and Splunk for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting environment performance.
  • Multi-Environment Management: Experience managing multiple test environments (Incident, Change, Certificate) simultaneously across parallel releases and multiple business lines.
  • Service Virtualization: Knowledge and practical experience in service virtualization to simulate components and streamline testing.
  • Innovation & Problem-Solving: Utilize innovative approaches, strong communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage the department’s test environments.
Who you are
  • You can demonstrate experience in 3-4 years of experience with Certificate management, QA automation, test environment management and devops. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visio, Operating Systems (Unix and Linux), Apache, different application containers, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile). Comfortable working with Linux servers, writing shell scripts, and using UNIX commands for automation and troubleshooting. Familiar with Agile tools like Jira for story management and Dynatrace for monitoring (or equivalent). You have a good understanding of DevOps & CI/CD Pipeline: Skilled in identifying, tracking, and resolving incidents to minimize environment downtime and impact. Strong background in administering and managing infrastructure for test environments, including planning and resource allocation. It is an asset if you have prior experience with Banking clients. Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud environments. ISTQB, ITIL, or similar certifications.
