A leading food processing equipment manufacturer in Charlottetown is seeking a Test Engineering Designer to design and execute test setups for new product prototypes. Responsibilities include analyzing test data and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve food processing equipment designs. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, have over two years of relevant experience, and are proficient in CAD tools. You will work alongside and compliment our talented team of over 160 engineers, designers, technical sales, and fabricator/welders. You will have an opportunity to grow your knowledge of project management and machinery design and leverage that knowledge to build strength in hygienic design of food processing equipment. CMP is constantly innovating and contributing to more advanced hygienic designs to exceed client needs. We engineer food safety in everything we do.
As a Test Engineering Designer, you will play a multi-functional role in designing, building, and executing simulation and physical test setups for equipment prototypes. You will also be responsible for collecting test data, analyzing the results, and presenting findings and recommendations in an organized and concise format. In this role, you will work closely with sales applications, engineering, product management, project management, plant operations, and customers.
Most tests will focus on new product prototypes. From time to time, you may also support food product testing on mature equipment for sales application sizing and specification purposes. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong technical expertise, and a passion for innovation.
