Job Description

We are seeking a Territory Manager with on-premise and retail sales experience to drive our growth in the retail sector and build our presence in the on-premise sector across the Lower Mainland. This is more than a sales role; it is a strategic business-building opportunity. You will be given the autonomy to develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan, leveraging our prestigious portfolio to build and develop lasting partnerships with the province’s top retailers and on-premise accounts.

As a key ambassador for Enoteca Bacco, you will be the face of what we represent, using your strong industry knowledge and strategic sales approach to become a respected and trustworthy partner to your clients. This role is ideal for a knowledgeable, results-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proven ability to build a territory from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Territory Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory to achieve ambitious growth objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • New Business Development: Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new partnerships with high-potential private and public retailers and on-premise (restaurants, bars, hotels) accounts.
  • Account Management: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional service and strategic support to grow their business with our portfolio.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a product knowledge expert, conducting engaging staff training, educational seminars, and curated tasting experiences for trade partners and their customers.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze market data and trends to identify new opportunities, monitor competitor activity, and provide strategic feedback to the management team.
  • Sales Operations: Diligently manage your sales pipeline, track all account activities, manage a follow-up schedule and report on progress using our CRM (Zoho).
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the liquor industry, preferably within the BC beverage alcohol industry.
  • Possesses a strong, informed knowledge of world wines, demonstrated by a WSET 3 certification (or equivalent). A strong working knowledge of spirits categories is also essential.
  • Strong understanding of the on-premise and retail landscape, experience in BC retail or hospitality trade is an asset.
  • Excellent relationship-building, good communication, writing skills, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Passion for the wine & spirits industry.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and leadership ability.
  • Adaptable and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid BC driver's license and vehicle
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs (23kg)

  • Competitive base salary ($55,000 - $70,000) commensurate with experience.

Working Conditions
  • This is a full-time, permanent position.
  • Will require some weekend and evening shifts for events, tastings, and festivals.
  • Work Location: Hybrid - 80% field work, 20% office work (in-person or remote)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, autonomous scheduling to accomplish KPIs and sales targets, which may include weekends, as needed.
