Job summary

Sun Peaks Mountain Resort is hiring Terrain Park Assistants to set up and maintain terrain park features, ensuring safety and proper function of the park. The role requires physical presence at the designated location and outdoor work, with heavy lifting up to 35 kg.

Compensation is $21.45 per hour, with seasonal incentives and perks such as lift passes, dining and retail discounts, and access to employee support programs.

Qualifications

• Experience working in terrain parks.
• Knowledge of terrain park features and trends.
• Knowledge of risk management for terrain parks.
• Terrain park maintenance experience.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Terrain Park; stay in radio contact at all times.
• Ensure proper risk management for the Terrain Park.
• Be punctual to scheduled shifts.
• Coordinate with grooming dept. to keep the park maintained.
• Complete daily maintenance reports during shifts.
• Keep Supervisor advised daily of activities.

The Terrain Park Assistant performs setup and maintenance on terrain park features and ensures the overall function and safety of the terrain park. This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain the Terrain Park; remain in radio contact at all times.
• Ensure proper risk management for the Terrain Park.
• Punctuality to scheduled shift.
• Work in co-ordination with grooming department to ensure park is properly maintained.
• Daily maintenance reports to be completed throughout shift.
• Keep Supervisor advised daily of all activities in the Terrain Park.
• Approved Ski Helmet required when working on snow.
• Personal communication device use Not Permitted during working hours.
