About The Role

We are seeking six (6) experienced Intermediate and/or Senior Project Managers to join our client's team in St. Johns, Newfoundland and Labrador, supporting the execution of major capital projects across the province. This is a 1-year contract (January 2026 – December 2026) with the possibility of extension, subject to performance and future project requirements. The selected candidates will primarily support the execution of the 2026 Terminals Program.

Normal hours for this work scope are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The work will be performed from St. Johns, NL. If necessary, periodic travel to Labrador and other project site locations will be covered.

The successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, along with proven experience managing complex electrical utility projects. They will be responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining a high level of quality and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects and/or programs at various stages of execution.
  • Develop project scope statements, work plans, and realistic schedules.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and update meetings with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Support construction billing, project budgeting, and schedule management.
  • Prepare and manage Project Change Notices (PCNs) and risk registers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Complete project reporting, including monthly capital, commitment, and accrual reports.
  • Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.
  • Engage with Operations and participate in weekly Terminals checkpoints.
Education And Experience Required
  • Experienced Intermediate or Senior Project Managers with electric utility experience at 46 kV or above.
  • Professional Electrical Engineers are preferred; however, candidates with relevant education and proven project management experience will be considered.
Additional Details

Please note that you may be required to work in an industrial environment, requiring hands‑on field supervision. This may include working at heights, dirty/dusty and noisy environments, and confined spaces. All personal protective equipment and site‑specific training will be provided.
